In this period of coronavirus pandemic, special attention should be given to the spleen/thymus system.
Specific controls
Surface (epidermis) crosswise interrogation of the sternal manubrium (picture 1).
Dermis crosswise interrogation of the inner face of the big toe’s metatarsophalangeal joint (picture 2).
Correction
The therapist puts one hand on the Spleen centre located on the lateral face of the RIGHT ribcage, the other hand searches for the point linked to that centre on the Spleen channel (SP 1 to SP 11) on the blocked side identified in the specific controls (SP 10 and SP 3 are the most frequent ones) (picture 3).
Related to the Spleen function, the therapist must also control:
- LV 13 and UB 20, the Spleen Mu and Jing Bie Back-Shu points (see chapter VII).
- UB 17 point is the Spleen function Back-Shu point.
- SP 17 which is the SP point on the Spleen chain (see chapter XI).
- circulation blockage in the SP channels (see chapter XXIV).
- ST 36 point increases the Spleen Yang energy (the general functions, chapter XXII).
Notes:
- We emphasize the important frequency in the imbalance of the Spleen function among patients manifesting post covid-19 effects such as ongoing fatigue, muscle pain, headaches.
- These controls are one element of the reading grid which must be corrected altogether.
- The treatment is possible through a light piece of clothing and the therapist can wear protective gloves.
